Gamblers Anonymous

Gamblers Anonymous uses a 12-step program to recovery.  They are not a part of any sect, denomination, political group or organization.  They have meetings throughout the United States and throughout the world.  It is Free to join, there is no cost or obligation.  The only requirement is the desire to overcome gambling addiction.  They have two types of meetings.  The first type is a closed-door meeting. This meeting is only for the individual working on overcoming their addiction.  The second type of meeting is open door, this meeting is for parents, family, and friends who wish to observe and join a meeting. 

National Council on Problem Gambling

This site offers a 24 hour confidential hotline for those struggling with gambling addictions and internet gambling addiction.  Call 1-800-522-4700.  The National Council on Problem Gambling is an organization those struggling with gambling addictions and their friends and families.  They are also working to raise the awareness of gambling addiction. Educate yourself on internet gambling addiction, gambling in person, gambling debt help, and gambling rehab. 

Provident Living-Addiction Recovery Program

A religious adaptation of the principles used by alcoholics anonymous.  Free, ongoing, and confidential Addiction recovery support meetings, sponsored by LDS Family Services, are held throughout North America, Europe, Australia, and Mexico.  Group members meet to help one

another overcome and recover from their addictions.  Meeting times and locations are available and updated monthly.  A free pdf download is available on their site that contains a wonderful guide to overcoming addiction. E-therapists
